Running More - Covering Less Distance?

Hello all,

I am on week 4 of C25K.  In the first couple of weeks the GPS tracker on my phone said that I was going just under 3 miles in the 30 minute time frame.  Now, it's telling me I am covering about 2 miles in the same about of time... ???  Somehow I have started running more, and lost a significant fraction of a mile. Did this happen to anyone else?
