I am a newbie to running having run my first and only 5k late last year. I am 40 and signed up to run my first 10k now. My preferred method to running is on a treadmill and using elliptical and some strength training as well. I know many are pro road courses, ovals, etc for training the minute muscles of the legs. But I like the lighter impact and try to offset with more elevation. Is there anything else I could try to increase my skills?
